First Day

Edward P. Jones The First Day is the recollection of a young dame friends first twenty-four hours of school. Her memory of this particular twenty-four hours is incredible; she remembers each and every event in punctilious detail. Having come from a poverty stricken and uneducated househ hoar, this was the most important day of her condensed five year darkened life.
